Emerson Independent Video

Named Organization of the Year for 2018-2019 and 2006-2007, Emerson Independent Video serves the Emerson community. Modeling its operations on that of a television station, EIV's goal is to provide an opportunity for students to apply or learn skills in all phases of television production in a professional atmosphere. Whether students are interested in marketing, directing, producing, or writing, the organization has a place for all. EIV has programs of all types in all stages of development. EIV also fosters learning experiences through their workshops on many different aspects of production. Over the years, EIV has won numerous national college broadcasting awards as well as having programming air on cable and national outlets.

I worked on two different short films produced by EIV: Abducted Anonymous and Boy Bandz.

Abducted Anonymous is about a wanted fugitive forced to blend into an A.A. meeting, but soon discovering its true intentions. On set, I worked as a behind-the-scenes photographer where I established 100+ action, candid, and still photos and to support the creation of marketing media and also planned alongside the other photographers and Executive Producers a schedule and strategy to follow for the production of photographs.

Boy Bandz is a romcom about lesbians and a boy band. I was an Associate Producer during pre-production where I collaborated with the 3 Executive Producers to understand and create the artistic vision of the film, compiled inspiration from films, magazines, and social media with the Creative Producer to accurately portray their vision, and conceptualized the look-book in the span of a month to present to the board of creatives. And during production, I was a Production Assistant where I aided with general tasks such as lighting, filming, and production design to create scenes for the film and coordinated the transportation of equipment to film locations throughout Boston.
